![]() | ![]() | Sony glasstron PLM-A35 head-mounted video display These are personal video monitors made by Sony. A great advantage to the ghost hunter, it allows real-time nightshot viewing. Also provides strong "immersion" factor, allowing detailed reviewing of footage. Future plans will included use with b/w infrared camera (headset mounted) with ATV video link for "as seen by wearer" footage. The video link receiver will be located back in the truck running video feed into a 12v VCR. Minolta 35mm SLR Camera Just like it sounds, a basic manual focus lens reflex camera. Used in conjunction with the night vison monocular. Tri-Field Natural EMF Meter Ultra-sensitive EMF meter designed to pick up naturally moving electromagnetic fields. Not (usually) sensitive to manmade AC electromagnetic fields. Sensitivity prohibits carrying around, instrument is suited for stationary use. Instrument has audible alarm that fluctuates tone as intensity of detected field changes. Audio Devices GE shoebox and microcassette recorders with external amplified (directional) microphone. A lot of people think that directional mics aren't suited for EVP recording, but we have found them to give great results. Sony Mavica FD-73 Digital Camera While not the best for paranormal photography (in visible light anyway) this is a handly little camera for getting shots on location. | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Night-Owl NOCX-3 with camera adapter This is a relatively cheap Generation 1 night vision monocular. By use of adapter can be mated to the Minolta SLR camera providing images in the infrared.***Note: Light amplification systems such as this produce severe "lens-flare" from strong light sources. Special care must be taken to not "pollute" the picture. Sony Handicam TRV-37 CCD 8mm Video Camera A simple, video 8 camcorder utilizing the Nightshot uses infrared light to illuminate the video frame in low/no light situations. No this is not digital or hi-8. Works just fine for us. Added accessories include wide angle lens (especially suited for close quarters indoor video) and the HVL-IRC infrared extender light. I also employ a generic infolitium 15 hour battery. This paticular unit has a built in light and accepts an external microphone (not needed as internal mic is extremely sensitive.) Montorola Talkabout FRS Radios Great for keeping in touch! Video Accessories Wide angle lens for close quarters indoor applications. Squeezes more picture into the video frame. Another accessory is the Sony HVL-IRC battery powered infrared extender light. This is just awesome! This difference provided by this little gadget is literally night and day. We have found that intensity must be adjusted indoors because the high-intensity infrared light has a tendacy to wash out details in the frame. Outdoors, however, intensity must be maximized. Leader LBO-308s 20 Mhz Dual Trace Oscilloscope: Pictured above is a simple dual-trace oscilloscope that we picked up at a local hamfest. We use this piece of equipment to provide a visual trace of sounds picked up from the microphone. Electrical signals picked up from the microphone (or any audio source for that matter,) will be presented on screen as wave fluctuations. This is helpful in visualizing actual sounds as compared to the noise floor. Set the sweep rate to .5 or lower for best results. OTHER EQUIPMENT NOT SHOWN | ![]() | ![]() |
